Matteo Cairoli’s adventure in the ADAC Ravenol 24h of the Nurburgring 2025, held at the renowned circuit nicknamed the “Green Hell”, which includes both the GP-Strecke and the Nordschleife parts, ends with a splendid podium. The Como native driver faced the challenge together with Bastian Buus, Loek Hartog and Joel Sturm at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) #54 of the Dinamic GT team, with the close collaboration of Pirelli. For Cairoli it was a welcome return to the German car with which he began to take his first steps in the world of motorsport, also achieving success in the 2021 edition.
The Dinamic team with a time of 8:19.050 took 19th place in the SP9 class, the category reserved for GT3 cars. The team’s goal was to stay out of trouble, taking advantage of any problems others might have. This was the case for the start, which saw the #54 Porsche overtake several cars. The race was interrupted before sunset due to a blackout that involved the paddock. When the race resumed at 19:45 local time, Dinamic GT restarted from 15th overall position. Cairoli followed the team’s goal, showing an excellent pace that allowed him to slowly climb the rankings, first entering the top-10 and progressively until entering the top five. In the final hours of the race Cairoli found himself fighting for third place thanks to the strategy and the feeling with the German track, he managed to put almost three minutes of advantage on his closest pursuer. Cairoli was thus the author of a majestic comeback over the 24 hours, crossing the finish line on the overall podium of the race, as well as the best car with Pirelli tires on board.
Matteo Cairoli has thus concluded the 24 Hours of the Nordschleife by obtaining third place, in partial compensation for the disappointment of abandoning Le Mans. The Como native has no time to rest, however, as he will participate in the 24 Hours of Spa of the GT World Challenge – Europe, where he will be aboard the Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO #48 of the MANN-FILTER team, with which he won the 3h of Monza at the end of May. The race will take place on the weekend of 28-29 June.
Matteo Cairoli
“I would say it was an incredible experience. We weren’t the fastest, but thanks to our consistency and the lack of mistakes we managed to climb back up to the podium. The team has put together a great team. Now, however, it’s already time to focus on the next round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge in Spa!”
