Thanks to the brilliant victory claimed in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup opener at Monza, Matteo Cairoli and his team-mates Klaus Bachler and Christian Engelhart head this weekend (29/30 May) to the 1000 Km Paul Ricard for the second out of five events of the series as championship leaders.
Following the impressive season's start at the home track, the Italian racer is delighted to make his return to track driving the Porsche 911 GT3 R. At the French circuit, the Dinamic Motorsport trio completed a very fruitful testing late last March.
"Last year at the Paul Ricard we endured a very tough race that compromised our entire season. We hope now to have a better weekend. I feel confident and ready", Matteo Cairoli explained. "We aim to maintain the points lead. I'm sure we can do that."
Action this week will start on Friday with the free practice and pre-qualifying sessions. Qualifying will start on Saturday at 10.45. The 1000 Km night race will commence at 6 pm and will be live streamed at https://www.gt-world-challenge-europe.com/live.
