Following the victory he claimed in the Monza opener last month, Matteo Cairoli scored more silverware at the 1000 Km Paul Ricard, the second of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup rounds held on Saturday.
Alongside his team-mates Klaus Bachler and Christian Engelhart in the Dinamic Motorsport's Porsche 911 GT3 R car, the Italian racing driver claimed the 7th place at the end of a tough race. An early contact involved Engelhart during the first stint and resulted in a compromised aero that made everything more difficult.
"This was a bitter sweet weekend", explained Cairoli, who set the 3rd time in his qualifying session. "My team-mate Engelhart had a contact and we drove for five hours and half with a broken diffuser. Nevertheless our pace was not so bad."
Now the Dinamic Motorsport trio takes the second place in the standings. Next race for Cairoli will be the next weekend at the Nürburgring 24H.
